Frigidaire FFFR560
This fridge looks like it's a luxury appliance however it's not as much. The counter-depth of this refrigerator allows you to get the built-in appearance for less than a custom fridge. It also does a great job of hiding the ice maker and water dispenser behind a faux panel, making it appear more streamlined than other models that display the appliances themselves. However, it is plagued by a few design flaws that keep it from being as great as it could be.
The main issue with this Frigidaire is that it's counter-depth, which means it's losing around 7 cubic feet of usable space compared to the same Gallery fridge in the standard depth measurements. This is a massive loss particularly when you consider the appliance is priced at around $3,500.
However, 1950s style fridge does a great job of holding steady temperatures in its cooling and freezer compartments. It also performed well in our spill test by keeping fluids like water and other contained, even on the top shelf.
If you're looking for an French door refrigerator with a large customizable flex drawer the Frigidaire is a great option. It has a smudge-proof stainless steel finish, and its left door is smaller than the right one, making it easier to access the fridge's controls. The flex drawer can be set to different temperatures, which means it can be used as an insulated freezer, a freezer cooler, or as a storage space for chilled wine or drinks.
This fridge is easy to use, however it's not as intuitive as some of the other refrigerators we've tried. It features a digital panel with simple design and numerous useful features. For instance you can flip the door bins from left to right, and there's the option to activate the freezer in turbo mode to provide an instant blast of cold. It's also Energy STAR certified, meaning you'll save money on your utility bills by using this fridge. However, it lacks some convenience features, such as a temperature-controlled meat/deli bin and a light in the freezer. Its storage capabilities are just average.
